 We Believe

Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are divinely inspired.  They form the only all-sufficient, infallible standard and authority in guiding humanity in all matters of Christian faith and moral duty.

There is one God, the Maker, Preserver and Ruler of all things, having in and of Himself all perfections, and being infinite in them all; and to Him all creatures owe the highest love, reverence and obedience.

God is revealed to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

God from eternity decrees or permits all things that come to pass, and perpetually upholds, directs, and governs all creatures and all events; yet so as not in any way to be the author or approver of sin, nor to destroy the free will and responsibility of intelligent creatures.

Humans, created in the image of God and without sin, fell because of rebellion against God.  We are saved only by the atoning blood of Christ.  Regeneration is necessary by the power of the Holy Spirit and by repentance and the exercise of saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

In justification by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, which is that act of God by which, on the basis of the work of Christ, imputed to the sinner and received through faith.  He declares the sinner freed from sin, released from its penalty, and restored in righteousness.

In the bodily resurrection of Jesus.  He now exists in His glorified body at God’s right hand.  There will be a resurrection of the righteous and the wicked.  The bodies of the righteous will conform to the glorious spiritual body of Jesus.

In the ordinance of baptism by immersion which is an act of obedience and the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper which is a sign of Jesus’ sacrifice, designed to commemorate His death, confirm our faith, renew our communion with Him and our church fellowship.

Supporting programs of worldwide missions, ministries, and evangelism in Jesus’ name.  It is the duty of every child of God to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by personal effort, and by all other methods sanctioned by the Gospel of Christ.

God is the source of all blessings, temporal and spiritual.  All that we have and are we owe to Him.  We are under obligation to serve Him with our time, talents and material possessions; and should recognize all these as entrusted to us to use for the glory of God and helping others.

Church and state should be separate.  Civil government is ordained by God; therefore it is the duty of Christians to render loyal obedience in all things not contrary to the revealed will of God.  A free church in a free state is the Christian ideal, the right of free and unhindered access to God on the part of all people, and the right to form and propagate opinions in the sphere of religion without interference by the civil power
